Facebook account temporarily locked due to suspicious account access?


I received a message from facebook saying that my account was temporarily locked due to suspicious account access. It was access at Taipei on Wed, 5.54am thru IE for Win2000. They requested me to re-enter a new password if im not the one who are accessing the said account at the suspected time. Can someone advise me whether should i proceed to enter a new password as im worried that it is a scammed message that might be sending malware viruses. Thanks.

garfield 		Usually this happens when you use a Proxy because it sends your IP to another country for some reason it happens alot when facebook doesnt recognise your computer no worries!

garfield 		Facebook will not send you a message when that happens. You got a phishing scam trying to hack your account. DO NOT enter anything

If someone really tried to access your account you would not get a notice until you tried to log into your account on facebook.com

Go to facebook and log in. If you can log in, then your account was not blocked. If you cannot log in then you'll get a message. You are not told to enter any new password. You are asked to give a mobile phone number so they can text you an unlock code
