What are the steps for posting a comment for looking for jobs on Facebook?


I read an article online about job hunting on Facebook recently. But I don't know where I should post job hunting. Can anyone help me?

garfield 		There's a good chance you're a member of the social-networking site Facebook, or have at least heard of it. While you may think Facebook is just a place to catch up and keep current with friends, it's a surprisingly useful networking tool when you're looking for a job.



Do a search for various company names. A list will come up of people who used to or currently work for a specific company (if they have a Facebook account). You may want to message one of the people to introduce yourself. Something as simple as an introduction could pay off in the future.

Post a status update that says you're looking for a job, and of what type. If one of your friends happens to work at a company you may be interested in working for, or knows someone who does, she could let you know and possibly work on getting you an interview.

Join groups related to the type of job you would like to have. There are numerous groups on Facebook you can join--not only ones devoted to specific companies, but generic groups as well. For example, if you are interested in working for an environmental company, join a few environmental groups. You can converse with members on the group's wall, as well as friend-request or message them.

Search for events to attend. Companies host events that are open for anyone to attend, even if you don't work for the company as of yet. Consider going to one of these events and introducing yourself, doing a bit of networking and possibly getting yourself an interview.

Converse with people while playing games on Facebook. If you are playing a game that involves other people, such as poker, ask them what type of work they do, and possibly even what company they work for. You may come across someone who works in a field you're interested in. Even if he can't help you, he may know of someone who can.
