Will banks refund stolen money from a debit card?


lets say someone was shopping on the internet and had malware. They typed in the debit card number and their number was stolen and a thief spent their money. Would a bank refund it?

meowmeow 		In theory, yes. But the bank would have to investigate, and determine who was at fault.
But that's why you use your credit card when online shopping. That's why you have internet security software to prevent this sort of thing. That's why you shop on trusted sites: Amazon, Sears, Best Buy, etc.

This is easy to prevent, if you take the right precautions.
