How do you install Windows 7 on a Macbook from the downloaded .exe installation file?


I bought Windows 7 to install on my MacBook Pro, when I did they emailed me a .exe downloadable link and they mailed me a back-up installation CD. The Product Key they gave me only works for the downloaded link. But, since I have a Mac the .exe will not work. I've tried using Crossover and VMware, but Crossover won't work and VMware needs to install it from the CD.

I've tried emailing MicroSoft but they don't understand their own system and have been of no help.

Is there any sure-fire program to run the installation .exe file or to get a working Product Key for the back-up installation CD?

P.S. - I got a Macbook because it's the standard for my industry and I needed Windows for schoolwork. With my student discount I bought Windows 7 Professional for $30.

Also, you don't need the product key to use Windows, it will just be "Not Genuine", you can just install Windows 7, retrieve the .exe file, open it, and activate your Windows copy in VMWare or Bootcamp

Also, Windows 7 Professional for only 30 dollars? Wow, that's a good save.
