Question On Ethical Hacking on Mini Laptop (Hardware/Software/Wifi/VMware/Linux)?


Hello Everybody,
Lately I've been fooling around with Networks and testing my wifi by using command prompt on Windows XP
while running BackTrack in VMware simultaneously and performing scans, etc.

BUT, now i wanna buy a mini laptop/netbook for mobile reasons and i was wondering if i can perform the same activites on something like a Dell mini (windows 7).

Ideally i would love to maybe dual boot the mini with backtrack. Or am i better off just using vmware? Or Even Completely uninstalling windows 7 and replacing it with the linux distribution?

Any Suggestions would Help GREATLY.

PS. for the record, My goal is to To be able to use this mini to learn about computer networking as much as possble. and be able to perform wifi hacks.
BTW. i'll prolly use Ubuntu. i said backtrack cuz thats what ive been effing with lately.
