how to enter the password in red hat linux in vmware?


I have downloaded Red Hat Linux 6.2, image for VMWare 6.5 i have opened it using vm ware workstation 7.0.0 build-203739...... After the open, its booted well But on the event of login & password.. I have entered the user name But i can't able to enter the password (i.e) while applying my keystrokes to enter the password the insertion point(cursor) not moves. So after then i pressed ENTER then again it asks the user name after I entered it the same problem persists.....!!!!! Please someone fix this problem... Thanks in Advance.....!!!!!!
