How do I share Microsoft Office on one laptop with another in the same house?


I have a macbook pro which has microsoft office in it and I have a Mac Book Air. The MacBook Air doesn't have a CD slot (so I cant put in the microsoft cd in it) , but somebody told me that you could share microsoft office with another laptop as long as you're in the same area. How do I do this?

meowmeow 		If the license allows you to install on a second machine, you can share the DVD drive on the Macbook Pro and then connect to it across the network from the Air for the install. Apple has instructions at http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.6/en/19568.html

meowmeow 		You can't share software with a computer that's in the same area ! It has to be downloaded on that computers hard drive.

meowmeow 		Please read your license agreement first. Only some Office editions allow sharing in the same household.

If sharing is allowed, you can download Microsoft Office onto the other Macbook on this site:
