How do I turn my HP touchpad off?


I can turn the screen off with the button on the top but I want to completely shut it down.

meowmeow 		Have you checked the user manual or online help? That's the first place you should look for these types of questions.

meowmeow 		If holding the top button down isn't bringing up the menu in the top right corner to shut down, you need to update your system first. To do that you need to go to Settings > system updates and let it check for updates. Download the updates, which may take a while. Follow the prompts and then install the update (make sure you have more than 50% battery to do this otherwise it won't update). Then after you have the latest upgrade, try to hold the top button down for about 3-5 seconds and a menu should pop up.

meowmeow 		Hold down the power/standby button at top for 5 seconds. You will then get the following 3 options;

Aeroplane Mode
Shut Down
Cancel
