How do i change my hp 630 touchpad to not be able to zoom or scroll?


Like if i put 2 fingers on it and move them apart it zooms in, it gets annoying because ill accidentally zoom or scroll while in the middle of something so how do I make it only be able to move the mouse?

Reboot

OR

Hard Way:

Alter your psmouse.modprobe file.
Download the source code https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input-synaptics
Download and patch the package with the SuSE touchpad fix.
Download package dependencies and compile the synaptics driver.
Build a deb package and install it.
Reboot.

garfield 		If using Windows, go into Control Panel. Then look at the mouse properties. There should be an option to disable the scroll and zoom features. There are probably tons of options you can toggle on and off in there.

I can certainly sympathize. I hate all the weird functions on laptop touch pads. The first thing I do is turn off all of the tapping and gesturing and such.
