What are the benefits of installing games on xbox 360 slim hard drive?


Thinking of buying a new Xbox 360 (the slim). I know that installing games on the old Xbox had many benefits (faster loading, quiet, longer lifespan etc). but does installing games on the new Xbox increase lifespan and quieten the fan down as well?

Does installing games on the slim increase lifespan at all? Because that's pretty much all that matters to me...

meowmeow 		yes because your xbox isn't using the disc thing so the fan isn't used as much. (I think)

meowmeow 		Well it does make it quiter, which would make it work less, which would lessen chances of heating.

P.S.: If you have a scratched copy of the game, installing it will work that scratched copy.
Example: If your copy of Halo Reach is scratched and messed up, by letting some other person install Halo Reach on ur Hard Drive, ur copy of Halo Reach will work (as long as the system can recognize the game is called Halo Reach).

meowmeow 		Installing games onto the slim does essentially the same benefits as the original version. But as a bonus, yes it quietens the fan because the disc tray isnt being used as much and therefore doesnt require as much fan usage due to less use of resources. :). The slim version will tend to run games and downloads smoother and more fluent aswell as promote less online problems such as unexpected closing of game lobbies and host connection errors.
