Can my internet history be discovered through a router?

I've been bringing my laptop to work and connecting to the internet through a wireless 2wire router in the office. I was wondering if my internet history can be tracked through the router. It's not connected to a company network or anything like that, it's set up th same way it would be at your home. I know a company IT guy has used some sort of remote access to get into the office computer to fix something before, but can he see my laptop somehow? and it's history?

who ever says no... knows nothing!!. YES it can be retrieved if the router has loging turned on. which means the router can log/record any connections made out/in from it. you can try it out of your home network at home!!! go on your routers configuration page (192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1) and check the network log. by defaults all routers have it setup. but sometimes some people would turn it off if they dont need it.

It depends on their specific configuration, but its very likely that they can see where you're visiting while you are on that network.
Seeing what's in your history is another thing - if it is set up as a computer that works through their server (as in, you'd likely use the same username and password for that and the office computer), then they can access anything on your system, including your history.
A good policy is not to bring anything questionable into work just in case.

If someone really wanted to then yes they could. Whenever your connected to the internet no matter how or where you your computer is free game. That doesn't mean its likely to happen. As long as you keep up with the most basic functions of a computer you will be fine. Don't give random remote access to people, Keep your OS up to date, Keep your AV up to date, Do scans once and while, that kind of thing. Youll be fine.
